A new store has opened up in the Gateway Mall, 100%, and it's aptly named since anyone who loves cute, quirky, functional, original, gifts, stationrey and more, can only but love it all and want it all! I plan on going back many many times....

birthday week

right, so it's day off with lovely hubby on Tuesday, here are some of the things we want to do

 visit Florida Road (galleries, shops, eateries etc.)

Sea Kayak at Ushaka, maybe get in a bicycle ride along the promenade too, hope we have good weather....

then it's b-day Wednesday ~ working ALL day! No dishes or cooking required ~ yay!

my darling husband who can keep no secret from me has revealed my birthday spoiler.... i shall soon be blogging from my blackberry device ~ so exciting!
and then on Friday, the bestest of days, the MOVE, the furniture, the new space, the light.... the joy!
i can't wait to share it all.....

house hunting, box packing...

yes, once again we are embarking on one of life's most stressful endeavors ~ THE MOVE

part of me loves, the tape, the boxes, the organisation, throwing out the junk, labeling, using post it notes, having a "system", but all these fun things are definitely underlined with lots of stress.....

we don't even know where we are moving to yet and we have to be out by the end of the month...

another plus side is the moving announcements ~ they are so cute but where to find the time for it all????

off to dive for more boxes and throw out lots of stuff ~ whoooosa

what we had: mojito's, muscles, mini-bunny chows and line fish with an special mash

anything other than tv

we bought ourselves a cheapie version of Monopoly ~ i still totally suck at this game, just like i did when i was 8 and lost to my (little) brother all the time... how cool would this Nintendo version be... totally nostalgic about Super Mario and other childhood games

we have out Uno'd ourselves (to the point of making up our own version)
three years of marriage and we still don't turn the tv on (and we live in a studio apartment)
i dream of an enormous "games and puzzles cupboard" for one day....

Cupcake Couture has been one of the most inspirational businesses in Durban for me, the products, the packaging, and the overall brand, is beautiful and inspiring. I am thinking about signing up for the package swap, just making sure that the ideas i have in my head will be something I can actually achieve - will let you know how that goes! Don't you want to sign up too?

the rain on paint

have been trying to paint the pool room
but for some inexplicable reason Cape Town winter has arrived in Durban
and i can't hardly get a thing done!
water has been coming down the walls from the wind pushing the rain in at all angles
making a huge and spectacular mess on unsuspecting painted walls
and poor old dirty floors
if and when the paint all dries I hope to share my enjoyable project
it has been super frustrating but also fun and a big blessing

Swim School

It's finally all come together. I start teaching on the 15th June at my friend's swim school while she is away for a month and then on the 18th of July I move over to my "own" pool (I don't own it but am the designated teacher for the venue ~ an indoor pool) for which the numbers are just growing and growing.....

There is an American show on at the moment called Extreme Couponing where these very organised people collect coupons and got up to 99% of their purchases FREE!
needless to say this is driving me crazy since our beloved country has no equivalent... if it did, i would be a champion couponer and save a fortune in grocery bills

so now i spend any moment of computer time entering competitions online and via sms
i really NEED to get something for free!
i don't know why, i just do
